She thought she was alone as a mind reader  - a freak.

Mackenzie Day constantly struggles to silence the voices in her head. The inner thoughts of those around her intrude upon every aspect of her life, threatening to turn it into chaos.

All her life, she thought she was alone as a mind reader--a freak.

Then a member of a secret organization called The Unseen suddenly introduces himself, and she's immersed in a world she never knew existed. They teach her to hone her skills as a reader, but to what end? Secrets surround her, humming just out of reach, filling her with questions.

Who are they? What do they do with their mind-reading abilities? In the end, just how far will Mackenzie go to be part of The Unseen?

The Unseen Trilogy edition by Stephanie Erickson Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks

I've reviewed all of the books in this trilogy individually but I decided to review them as a whole too.

I don't know how I stumbled across Stephanie Erikson; it was through Facebook, I think. I found this trilogy and thought it seemed interesting enough based on the blurb, so I bought the entire Kindle version of the trilogy. I'm so glad I did!

The idea of mind reading has always fascinated me and the plot idea was very good. I honestly couldn't stop reading it. I've lost some sleep reading this because I have a tendency to stay up too late when I read good books at night.

However. . .there were some things that nagged at me. One, it was sort of predictable and even some of the twists that were supposed to be unexpected and shocking didn't surprise me. There were very few where I sat back and was like "Oh! Didn't see that coming." At times, the characters had a one-dimensional feel to them even though they clearly weren't. Also, even though I liked MacKenzie, she could occasionally be whiny and unrelatable. I was also disappointed with how quickly her relationship with Owen developed. I know that relationships can happen all of a sudden, but it was like in one chapter she'd just met them and in the next they were head over heels in love. Perhaps, that was a little bit of an exaggeration but that's how it felt to me. Lastly, the idea of the trilogy is a really good one but I wish Stephanie had elaborated more on the plot more and made each book longer. I feel as if she kind of pulled up short on the plot and hurried it by to quickly without much development.

Nonetheless, I'm not trying to deter you from reading it by any means! It's actually a pretty smashing series and I still reccomend it!

The Unseen Trilogy edition by Stephanie Erickson Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews

I enjoyed the series wish it would have continued on to new adventureds. So hopefully she will read this and right more adventures,
fantastic narration for a more than great story. i would tell you about what made me ugly cry, what made me laugh, and the parts that made me smile and swoon, but that would just being giving it all away. )
Well written with excellent researched background . Easy to relate to the characters and become sympathetic with all of their decisions . Waiting for next stories with the gifted daughter .
I like the idea of mind readers, what a great idea for a plot. I loved the fact that she main character passion was music 🎢and thought of music to heal. The plot thickens with bad guys that are readers and the idea to take over the US. Some of it very scary if it was to be true, especially with the chemicals of zero. The underlining love ❤️ story was nice and of course the tears of the death of a best friend 😭 I hope you read it and enjoy it as much as I.
I found this trilogy to be quite captivating. Mind reading has always seemed like such a real possibility to me so of course I loved these stories. Sadly, the threat of chemical warfare is all to real in today's world, so that added a good dose of suspense to the stories. I would recommend this series, although as one reviewer mentioned, the scene where they are testing the chemical agent Zero on the chimps is graphic.
Mackenzie took me on an amazing rollercoaster ride of emotions throughout the whole trilogy. I felt like I was her through it all. Poor girl grew up not knowing love with the exception of get best friend. Being able to read minds left her feeling alone basically, afraid to share her little secret. Definitely never a dull moment once she found she wasn't alone in the world.

Stephanie Erickson has definitely got a talent for reeling you into her stories. Can't wait to read more.
Let me start by saying that this Trilogy is not my usual genre. That being said, once I started reading, I literally could not stop reading. While I was at work, all I could think about was getting home and reading these books.
I really loved the fact that these books were obviously well thought out and very well written. Editing was spot on. No repetitive phrases that annoy me.
Stephanie Erickson is a natural. Thank you Ms. Erickson, for sharing your talent with me.
